Photography was just a hobby while I was studying interior architecture at university. Then a chance encounter in 2005 inspired me to change course and I began a new career in international corporate and events photography. I shot my first wedding ten years ago when a good friend said she couldn’t find a wedding photographer with my people approach and skill at reportage. I loved the experience and that’s how it all began! Since then I have been incredibly lucky with support from wonderful bridal couples who have understood my style and have allowed me to progress quickly.
I’m a big romantic and adore the raw emotions and the human side of the story. No wedding is the same and it’s exciting and a real privilege to get involved so closely in people’s lives and to be able to use all my creative skills to capture how their wedding day unfolds - the unexpected moments, the parts of the day that will be remembered and those that people didn’t even know were happening.
I’m not sure I can put a label on my style but would say my work is a mix of contemporary life-style reportage and beautiful, romantic fine art portraiture that has softness and soul with a timeless quality. I’m always looking for ways to make my photos as natural and organic looking as possible and to capture the day as it happens to tell a story with beautiful images that have impact and combine great timing, strong composition and technical excellence. I like to meet couples and develop a relationship with them prior to the wedding day. What they love inspires me to capture their essence and distinct personalities and to portray the particular style or theme they have chosen for their special day. I facilitate all aspects of the photographic organisation serenely and with discretion and offer direction and guidance on timeline scheduling, lighting and more to create the most beautiful images possible
Coming from a multi-cultural background and being fluent in French and English helps a lot to make communication easier when working with international clients. Also, having been established on the French Riviera for many years, I have a vast knowledge of the area and am used to liaising closely with local wedding planners, venues and suppliers catering for high-end clients from around the globe. These are some of the things that I believe give me an added advantage and set me apart from others in my profession.
My love of architectural design will always inspire me to use the venue to create stunning backdrops to my photographs, while my artist’s eye will be drawn to beautiful colour schemes and the elegant decoration, details and accessories which are so important in setting the atmosphere of the day, showcasing the bridal couple, enhancing the beauty of the ceremony and promoting the romance of the occasion
I design and supply beautiful, personalised and bespoke hand-crafted wedding albums featuring luxury materials and expert craftsmanship that will stand the test of time. Whether you’re looking for the classic simplicity of a modern photo book, the elegance of a state-of-the-art designer Italian wedding album or the pure luxury of an album using organic textures and fine art paper, we will collaborate together to design your dream wedding album. Parent albums are also the perfect gifts to present after the wedding and can be a clone of the bride and groom’s book or custom-designed to your liking.
Your wedding photographs will last a lifetime, so take the time to find your perfect wedding photographer. Don’t be swayed by friends and family, choose someone whose work you love and who you feel comfortable with. Make sure there is a real connection between you and that you have absolute trust in them to deliver your vision. I would recommend seeing a few full albums of real weddings and reviewing their blog posts which showcase different examples of their work.
Timing is everything on a wedding day and trying to squeeze in too much will likely cause you stress. Make sure you leave enough time for photos and plan yourselves in some alone time too – it won’t be easy to come by on the day! Let your photographer know as much as possible about the running of the day and we’ll liaise with the other coordinators and get you where you need to be. You can’t control everything, so just let go and enjoy every minute as the day goes very quickly.
